Cenotaph, buried tomb
A monolith to memories we dare not exhume
Using woe as leverage, complete cerebral hemorrhage
Weak appeals to the soul
Nevermind the damage, righteous rite of passage
Fervorously we condole
Deceivers, sociopathic, obscure is the creed
Phantom Sepulchre
Embezzler of grief, progenitor to scorn
Spectral memorial
Reveler of pain, of who remain forlorn
Carnage on a rumor, ritual most peculiar
Betraying our sense of mercy
Alienating, prideful baiting, caste upon caste
Horrifically inhumane
Believers psychopathic, obscure is their creed
Phantom Sepulchre
Embezzler of grief, progenitor to scorn
Spectral memorial
Reveler of pain of who remain forlorn
Cenotaph, buried tomb
A monolith to memories we dare not exhume
Cenotaph, a devout disgrace of pseudo-wrath
Deceivers, sociopathic, on guilt do they feed
Phantom Sepulchre
Embezzler of grief, progenitor to scorn
Spectral memorial
Reveler of pain of who remain forlorn
Phantom Sepulchre

The production on this album is surprisingly awful. Exocrine is an extraordinary band, but I never would have picked this up outside of a label sub. Maelstrom would be another masterpiece if it didn’t have lawn sprinklers going off throughout every track. Thankfully they didn’t make the same mistakes again. Metallurgical Fire

Hype is a funny thing. Usually when I hear everywhere "Dude this shit is 🔥" or even the dreaded and oft-used "AOTY!!" bullshit, I roll my eyes. And I rolled my eyes last year on the hype train for Carnosus. But again, for every thousandth breathless fanboy review I've seen, sometimes the album exceeds the expectation. So I will confidently tell you that, yes, "This shit is 🔥" as I wait for Willowtip to release that sweet Green Ghostly vinyl variant domestically 🤣 Finally a win for my wallet! bcb723
